Afrobeats Worship Puts a New Spin on Phil Thompson's "All of My Worship"
Phil Thompson's beloved Gospel tune "All of My Worship" has a brand-new recording out now by Afrobeats Worship, featuring Tanzanian Gospel singer, Paul Clement. Kanjii Mbugua (singer-songwriter, worship pastor, and worship artist) and Rashon Murph (music producer, music director and songwriter) came together to re-create this song with a native sound and African roots.

They originally developed a deep relationship with Phil Thompson's version that was sung often in Kenya. Having performed the song at his church in Atlanta with Phil years ago, Rashon feels he has been graced with the opportunity to now reimagine it. Kanjii connects "All of My Worship" to Romans 12:1, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship."
He goes on to say, "It's not, 'Here is my best song.' It's, 'Here is my life, here is my business, here is my family, here is my wife, here is everything I'm giving God. I'm giving Him everything as my sacrifice, as my worship.'"
Afrobeats Worship is made of Kenyan born, US-based Kanjii Mbugua (singersongwriter, worship pastor, and worship artist) and Ohio born, Los Angeles-based Rashon Murph (music producer, music director and songwriter).
Afrobeats is a prominent global influence in today's most popular genres, and Kanji and Rashon's passion is to reintroduce popular Christian songs to a new generation with a sound of worship that is authentic to its cultural roots. Afrobeats Worship's hope is for their music to bridge the gap between genres to reach a younger generation in the West, while providing familiar songs as a resource to segments of the Global Church in Africa that magnifies its native sound.
As a band, Afrobeats Worship uniquely taps into the fastest-rising trend of the global music market, creating worship that sets itself apart from the rest and focuses on serving worshipers right at the heart of their culture. Their heart is to bring the gospel through fresh sounds to Gen Z and Gen A worshippers, following God's call to creativity and discipleship.
